Welcome to Bad Pun Studio

A brief hello from Dor and Tedzogh—two hobbyist developers building an Amiga game with Scorpion Engine.

Welcome to our "studio." We are two very amateur developers currently working on an Amiga game. Here is a short introduction.

Dor

Dor

I live in a small town in Sweden and was born in 1982. I have been a lifelong gamer—we got the NES at Christmas ’88 (I think), and I have played some kind of game almost every day since. The first game I bought with my own money was Fester’s Quest for NES. Maybe not a masterpiece, but I loved it at the time.

I have tried to learn coding for 25+ years on and off. Because of severe ADHD, I usually lose focus before finishing anything. I always have game ideas but could never make them real. Now, with AI, I can offload coding help, which means I can finally attempt some of the games I have imagined for half my life.

I’ve started many games—mostly in Unity for Android or PC—but I tend to pile on features until I feel overwhelmed and start something new. For our current project we’re using Scorpion Engine. It’s mostly drag-and-drop but has plenty of depth, so I’m excited to learn as much as I can.

That was a long-winded way to say hi, but that’s me. Now for:

Tedzogh

Tedzogh

Born in 1980 and also a lifelong gamer, he has always gravitated toward 2D platformers. He played the “modern” games back in the 80s and 90s until they became retro—and still enjoys them today. He streams almost exclusively Amiga games, old and new, at twitch.tv/tedzogh, usually around 19:00 CEST.

He has finished two games with Scorpion Engine:

Both are relatively short but solid—especially impressive as his first two games in Scorpion Engine.

That’s all we can think of for this post. Thanks for reading this not-so-short introduction!
